Industrial Accidents of Design

In the industrial landscape, function triumphs over aesthetics. When out on assignment in industrial areas, I often find intriguing scenes that have nothing to do with the work I am doing for my client. These scenes would be typical for the workforce to walk by and miss on most days, but I find them transformed by light and shadow, color palette, gesture, and even patina. They become new visual statements of design, though accidental in the industrial world.

These images are captured with the iPhone, using a camera app that matches my vision for the scene in front of me. As the body of work grows, I am using the images to create diptychs and triptychs.
